Cobbittee Art School is a community-based art school situated in Mosman on the Lower North Shore of Sydney. We offer after-school classes for children; school holiday programmes; drawing and painting classes for adults, also specialised one day Landscape Art classes for visitors to Sydney.

We’re located in a beautiful, recently restored site of the Sydney Harbour Trust: Lower Georges Heights is on the corner of Cobbittee St and Middle Head Road, Mosman. We over-look Sydney Harbour and Watson’s Bay.

Cobbittee Art School is surrounded by bushland; we are adjacent to the new Sydney Harbour Trust eco-staircase which is suspended over bushland and descends to Balmoral Beach, also The Tearooms restaurant.

NEWS!

Channel 7 Storms Cobbittee Art

Last year, the crew of The Great Outdoors spent an afternoon at Cobbittee, filming our adults and children’s art classes. Andrew Daddo painted alongside the students from our Art School; we went en plein air down the hill at Chowder Bay, then we followed up with a very busy hour at the school itself with our 4.30 after school painters. It’s not easy to muse live on camera, on the nature of Art when you are 10 years old but everyone gave it their best shot.

Senior’s Week at the School in 2007 was great fun – we had some very interesting characters roll up! – and some lovely watercolours were produced by all.
