The School aims to provide a fresh approach to art by encouraging creativity and developing confidence in expression while at the same time giving students the experience of a range of different media.
Our classes combine Australian art history (see our section on art history) with hands on art practice and for beginners this will mean lessons in drawing technique and the use of various media including watercolour, pastel, acrylic, oil, collage. For those with some experience we aim to extend your technical range and to experiment with new approaches.
In such a naturally beautiful environment, emphasis will be placed on outdoor landscape drawing and painting but this will not be exhaustive and we will turn our attention to figure studies, still life, botanical drawing etc
Open classes are held on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 9.30-12.00.
Our adult classes cost $264.00 (GST included) for an 8 week term
