Children's Art Classes and Holiday Programmes
Cobbittee Art School offers after school art classes as a creative outlet for children from 6 years onwards. These classes aim to provide the following for children
- Encourage creativity from a young age in artistic endeavours
- Foster the beginnings of artistic appreciation in children
- Help children to develop confidence in their artistic individuality and in the way they express themselves artistically
- Introduce them to a wide range of techniques and media for them to sample
- Broaden their experience of what art is and can be
- Help them to begin to understand the rich art history of not only Australia but the World
- Above all – Make art fun!
After School Classes
Are offered from Mondays to Wednesdays at the following times:
3.30 – 4.30pm 6-8 years
4.30 – 5.30pm 9 years onwards
Cost $140.80 (incl GST) for an 8 week term.
Term 4 commences on the 22nd October 2007
CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY MORNING WORKSHOPS
There will be workshops running on weekday mornings from the 10th December until the 21st December.
What to Bring
Children should bring their morning tea with them together with a hat as we always do a bushwalk. If it’s cold they should also bring a warm windcheater for the walk and just in case we are drawing out of doors for a while.
What to Wear
Children should wear old clothes and good sturdy walking shoes.
What is Supplied
Painting T-Shirts
All Paint, Brushes, Handouts, Paper and Materials
Workshops are 9.00am to 1pm sharp and cost $50.00 per child. Numbers are strictly limited to 10 children per day. To book in call Marg on 9953 2812 or send us an email but do it early as places fill up.

MONDAY DECEMBER 10TH AND 17TH
MONSTER DAY!! Make your own plaster set of Monster Hands and a Monster Mask
TUESDAY DECEMBER 11TH AND 18TH
Our classic Self Portrait onto board day. This portrait will become a family heirloom! Hang it up in your living room, bedroom, or any other room that takes your fancy!
WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 12TH AND 19TH
Paint and draw all the planets in our solar system! (or in a galaxy far, far away…...)
THURSDAY DECEMBER 13TH AND 20TH
Landscape onto wood day. Draw and paint our beautiful landscape onto pine and be as realistic or as abstract as you like!
FRIDAY DECEMBER 14TH AND 21ST
Christmas Art! Angels, snowflakes and Christmas celebrations. Deck the halls with boughs of holly…!!

CHRISTMAS ART CELEBRATION – SAT 15TH DEC
A special day to aid World Vision Children’s Fund, from 9 to 2pm there will be decorations, games and morning tea for children while Mum and Dad go shopping – the cost of $50 will go to World Vision. Ring Marg on 99532812 to book in.
